The 4 Pillars of the Interview: Innovation, Resilience and Energy Security
The podcast offered the opportunity to explore the key topics that guide our developments and directly address the current pain points of industry:
1. Energy Sovereignty: Your Own Fuel
One of Miguel Ángel’s key messages was the need for a shift in mindset when it comes to energy consumption. Green hydrogen enables companies to break away from their historic dependence on fossil fuels and geopolitical volatility.
By capturing renewable surpluses, whether solar or wind, and transforming them through water, industries can generate their own fuel, which can be stored over time without losing its properties. This marks the definitive step from seeing energy as an unavoidable expense to managing it as a strategic asset.
2. Critical Backup Systems: The Security of Never Stopping
Beyond economic efficiency, the conversation focused on a vital factor for the B2B sector: operational resilience.
Our modular systems are designed to act as a reliable backup in facilities where a power outage is simply unacceptable. As Miguel Ángel explained during the interview, in sectors such as healthcare or laboratories with pharmaceutical cold chains, preventing the loss of critical samples or production shutdowns has an incalculable value that far exceeds the simple cost per kilowatt.
3. Decarbonization of Heavy Mobility
Industrial transport and heavy machinery face a dead end with traditional electrification. The podcast analysed how lithium batteries present serious limitations in terms of weight and autonomy when it comes to moving heavy loads.
In response to this challenge, at H2Vector we are already carrying out the second phases of comprehensive pilot projects, covering production, storage and dispensing through hydrogen refuelling stations (HRS), to provide private transport fleets with a clean, lightweight alternative with competitive refuelling times.
4. Startup Culture with Corporate Rigour
The journey of developing hardware from El Entrego, Asturias, towards the international market requires a unique balance. Miguel Ángel openly shared the challenges of overcoming technological development cycles and the inevitable cash flow valleys.
The secret to consolidating operational projects in Spain, Portugal, Estonia and Italy lies in the human team: a group of highly committed experts aligned with the company’s purpose. This allows us to maintain the agility and innovation of a startup while applying the structured processes and corporate rigour needed to collaborate with industrial giants such as ArcelorMittal or Exolum.
